Awesome people are hard to come by. So, we’re grateful to have a whole group of them serving on our Board of Directors. For our 2014-15 fiscal year, we’ve welcomed three new members the board, and we’d like to introduce them to you. This week, meet Christopher Bolling, M.D.
Dr. Bolling, a Greater Cincinnati native and pediatrician for more than 25 years says, “When I was approached by my friend of nearly forty years, Dave Wallace, about supporting Beech Acres Parenting Center, I did not hesitate. Beech Acres’ ongoing excellence in parenting and support for children, particularly those facing disadvantages, made it an easy choice. I’ve come to depend on Beech Acres and organizations like it for my entire professional life.”
Dr. Bolling is a founding member and full-time practitioner in the largest private pediatric practice in the state of Kentucky, Pediatric Associates. He’s also a Volunteer Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of General and Community Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He is involved in clinical care, research, advocacy and education regarding the treatment and prevention of pediatric obesity and overweight.
Published in the area of behavioral pediatrics and primary care pediatrics, Dr. Bolling serves as a consultant in matters related to obesity prevention, motivational interviewing, community based participatory research, public policy and practice-based research. In addition to Beech Acres, he serves on many community non-profit and child advocacy boards.
