Bringing Nature Connections to Your Family
Saturday, April 18th from 10am-12pm
This training event is open to licensed foster parents and their families
Travel to Cincinnati Nature Center to learn how to support children in outdoor play and exploration, and how to use nature as a calming space for connecting with your family. This workshop will have you and your child(ren) working together through outdoor activity stations with fun challenges at child and adult levels at each stop. Try to creatively cross a stream, build a home for a small creature, move your indoor activities to an outdoor space, and more! This workshop comes with free admission for the day to Cincinnati Nature Center, as well as a chance to win a variety of prizes. Most appropriate for children ages 2-10 years old, but other ages are welcome.
Additional details: We’ll be using CNC’s Nature PlayScape (4949 Tealtown Rd, Milford, OH) for this session, which is close to bathrooms and parking. The terrain is mainly on gravel pathways with some slightly uneven terrain. Areas with benches are available nearby.
This activity is 100% outdoors, so dress for the weather. In the event of storms, we’ll have indoor options available. With specific questions about accessibility, please contact Terry at 513-233-4843 or tchapman@beechacres.org
