Join us at our offices at 615 Elsinore Place for an all day training session.
We’re very excited for this year’s lineup:
9am-11am: Anna Hazard from The Character Effect gives us a presentation on Natural Strengths Parenting. Before you sigh and say “another NSP class?” you’ve yet to experience a presentation from Ms Hazard. She brings a tremendous amount of energy, excitement, experience, and knowledge to this work. You’ll learn how you can incorporate Character Strengths, Mindful, and Intentional practices into your daily life and work as a foster parent. You’ll also learn about recent theories and research surrounding the rise in mental well-being struggles with children and teens, and ways to support the children and youth in your home with Natural Strength Practices.
*Be sure to go back to your VIA Character Strengths survey and note your five highest/top strengths and your five lowest strengths, and bring that list with you to this training.*
