Many students require additional help, from mental health needs to resources at home, that go beyond the classroom.
Beyond the Classroom™ enhances readiness to learn by improving the emotional and behavioral wellness of the students. Additional support is available for parents that builds resilience, improves economic stability and empowers you to become an advocate.

- Beech Acres Parenting Center’s staff is embedded in the schools and available for EVERY family & student.
- Among a variety of services, your student’s mental health needs can be met through the Beyond the Classroom™ program.
- Each school has a single point of contact, a Team Lead, to connect you with the appropriate services for your family.
Family Engagement
Provides parents with ongoing communication and problem solving with school staff/administration
Promotes and coordinates engagement with families, the school and community partners
Therapy
Diagnose and evaluate needs of student by licensed mental health professional
Individual Counseling – 1:1 behavioral health support in-person and virtually via telehealth
Work with parents to develop individualized goals and monitor progress for students
Family therapy involves entire family in students’ treatment
Group therapy offers opportunity to heal with others in group setting Crisis Support
Behavioral Health Support
Identification of students’ strengths and monitors needs
Service Coordination with school and community systems
Assist in accessing support resources
Goal-directed individual and family supports
Solution focused emotional and behavior management techniques
Helps student develop resiliency skills including social, interpersonal, anger management, coping and independent daily functioning
Family Peer Support
Unique support program pairing parents whose children have been struggling with parents who have similar experiences
Offers support and equips parents with the skills to be a confident and empowered advocate for their child
Guides parents through understanding and navigating systems such as school, mental health, and court
Connects parents with community resources
Parent Connext™
Provides individualized parenting support with strengths-based parenting experts
Delivers practical strategies to help navigate common concerns including: emotions, behaviors, sleep, toileting, rules, routines, eating, lying, defiance, school, and monitoring social media
Assists caregivers in building skills to manage stress and increase self-care, confidence in parenting, and positive parent-child interactions

Kinship Connections
Grandparent, aunt, uncle, or another relative, taking care of a loved one’s children full-time
Individualized kinship peer support provided in the home and community
Navigation, coaching, and support for families with community resources, court systems, and parenting
Monthly support groups with a focus on self-care care and positive practical parenting
